BRICS Dialogue Focuses on Digital Health and AI

The National Health Authority convened a BRICS dialogue on digital health records, interoperable health infrastructure and responsible AI-enabled healthcare.

The National Health Authority organised a BRICS side event during the 16th BRICS Health Ministers' Meeting. The event focused on strengthening continuity of care through interoperable data infrastructure and responsible Artificial Intelligence. India highlighted progress under ABDM, including over 940 million ABHA IDs and more than one billion linked digital health records. The BRICS Technical Working Group-4 Compendium on Digital Health Architecture for Continuum of Care was discussed as a framework for cooperation. The dialogue stressed digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity, open standards and ethical AI for resilient health systems.
