BRICS Agriculture Ministers’ Conference Begins in Indore

The BRICS agriculture ministers’ conference began in Indore with India highlighting food security, small farmers and sustainable agriculture cooperation.

The two-day BRICS agriculture ministers’ conference began in Indore under India’s BRICS Chairship 2026. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed the inaugural session and highlighted India’s agricultural growth, foodgrain production and support for small and marginal farmers. The conference focused on global agricultural cooperation, climate-resilient farming, natural farming and technology-led solutions for food security. India also underlined the role of women, youth and digital tools in transforming agriculture.
