Bhubaneswar Declaration Adopted to Strengthen Tribal Research Institutes

The Bhubaneswar Declaration was adopted to transform Tribal Research Institutes into centres of excellence for research and evidence-based policymaking.

The declaration was adopted at the conclusion of the National Workshop on Strengthening Tribal Research Institutes in Bhubaneswar. It provides a national roadmap for improving research, innovation, documentation and preservation of tribal culture. The framework also seeks to strengthen the role of Tribal Research Institutes in providing evidence for public policy. These institutes work with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and state governments on tribal development and cultural preservation.
