APEDA Holds First Indian Mango Promotion in Iceland
The Indian Embassy in Iceland and APEDA organised the first-ever Indian Mango Promotion Events in Iceland. The outreach showcased Indian mango varieties and explored export potential under the India-EFTA economic framework.
The events were held in Reykjavik and Akureyri to promote premium Indian mango varieties such as Dasheri, Chausa, Langra and Kesar. Officials from Iceland highlighted the opportunities created by the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement for expanding Indian imports. APEDA also presented India’s position as the world’s largest mango producer and explained export promotion efforts based on quality assurance and market access. Since Iceland imported mangoes worth about USD 3.3 million in 2025, the promotion has significance for widening India’s agri-export footprint in niche markets.
