Aadhaar App Crosses 40 Million Downloads

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology reported that the Aadhaar App has crossed 40 million downloads. The app provides services such as address update, mobile number update, email update, biometric lock and unlock, and e-Aadhaar download. It has enabled 11.65 lakh address updates and nearly 49 lakh mobile number updates. The milestone is important for understanding India’s digital public infrastructure and identity ecosystem.
